Duston Eldean To celebrate the end of a successful term at the Cobblers Study Centre we held a Presentation Evening for all our Playing for Success students in the Northampton Town Football Club Players Lounge. First Team players Joe Benjamin, Paul Rogers and Alex Dyer joined Clarence the Dragon in congratulating our primary school children from Hopping Hill, All Saints and Duston Eldean.  The Playing for Success groups were presented with certificates and goodie bags containing match programmes, mini kits and match tickets by the Cobblers Players.  Each term at the Study Centre we also run a ‘Champions League’ competition.  Groups can gain points toward their Champions League team by working well throughout the term, the respective winners were awarded with bronze, silver and gold medals. At the end of the evening parents and carers were treated to a short Cobblers Study Centre movie, which included all the animation and media work that our students have been working on this term.    Congratulations and thank you to all of our Playing for Success groups for making it a fun term at the Cobblers Study Centre.

pres1Don’t forget it’s PRESENTATION EVENING on Monday 14th December, 6.30pm in the Sixfields Stadium.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our Playing for Success groups from Hopping Hill, Duston Eldean and All Saints!

mihaiLast night our Playing for Success groups were visited by two members of the Northampton Town Youth Team. George Dukes and Mihai Gherasim came to the Study Centre to give a presentation to our students about life in the Youth Team. After their presentations the youngsters from Hopping Hill got to polish their questioning skills and were given an opportunity to interview the boys. They found out interesting facts about their training regime, they favourite foods, the best football grounds they have played at and which football teams they support. After the player interviews some impressive fact files were made by the PfS students on the computers. All the students received a signed programme and photographs at the end of the evening.

The boys from the Gateway school have been working on their Supporter 2 Reporter project for a few weeks now. Recently they learnt about video cameras and experimented in a number of ways to use them…
