TanzimaThis is my last week at the Cobblers Study Centre I have relly enjoyed coming and Iam really going to miss Jaimie, Jean, Margaret, both the Dans Harley.  My best week  here was smoothie making week because I got to pretend I ran a restaurant and got to design menus for footballers.  We made smoothies and they tasted good.  Presentation evening will be good!  By Tanzima

Germany by DanielThis evening the Kings eath PfS group have been transformed into Street Football Tournament Organisers and have been designing posters to attract spectators to watch their events in a wide range of European Countries.  The youngsters then got to play out their tournament on the X-Box and had to calculate their results after compiling them in a results table.

drottningholm-palace-stockholm-s125This evening at the Study Centre we have been making Street Football advertising posters to make people come to a tournament that we will be running.  My team was Sweden and I decided to play my tournament at the Queens Palace in Stockholm because its a famous landmark.  We then got to play our tournament out on the X-Box!

gesTonight we came to the Study Centre and started the session with toast.  After that we had to find out different European countries and choose one to be our team in a Street Football tournament that was going to be played in the X-Box.  My team was Italy and I had to write a poster saying where and when the tournament was going to be held.  My tournament was in the Colusseum. I enjoyed making my poster.

Today I saw the most amazing field, we were told which stands were North, South, East and West and then had to answer maths questions.  The answers took us to letters all over the stadium.  I worked with Jaimie, she wasn’t as slow as I thought she would be running around the stadium and she kept singing to me. We found all the letters and when we got back to the Study Centre we had to solve the word puzzle which spelt out GOALKEEPER.  We made fifty words from the word goalkeeper!  I had lots of fun.

5-046It was just today that I stood on the grounds of the Cobblers football stadium! I walked around looking at all the rooms including the Players Lounge, the Police Custody Suite and even the changing rooms, phew smelly! We saw pictures of the team, the pitch, signed t-shirts, balls and many more! Going to the Cobblers has got to be one of the most amazing things I have ever done!

presentationspring2009-010Hi we are Alfie and Phillip from Kings Heath Primary School.  Today at the Study Centre we had some toast and drink when we got here.  Then we played on the table football inside or went to play with Harley the dog outside.  Our task for the day was to design and make a football team.  We used our art and I.C.T  skills to make logos and shirts.  We had to choose a stadium for our team and pick a name for our new club.  Phillip’s club was Sherman Athletic and Alfie’s club was Athletic United.  Althetic United’s ‘home kit was red and pink with a football design.  We got to pick sponsors for our team such as Coca-Cola or the British Army.  The Motto for Sherman Athletic was “Be the Best! ”   We are looking forward to next week!
