The Cobblers Study Centre is part of a national DCSF initiative called Playing for Success (PfS). Based at Northampton Town Football Club at the Sixfields Stadium. The Study Centre is an exciting and dynamic partnership between, Northamptonshire County Council and the Cobblers. We work in close partnership with local schools and educational providers to raise educational standards across Northamptonshire.
The playing for Success sessions run throughout the week for Key Stage 2 pupils (7-11 year olds) and for Key Stage 3 pupils (11-14 year olds). The Study centre is also open throughout the daytime and during the school holidays to provide a range of educational projects for different learners.
At the Cobblers Study Centre we aim to raise children’s literacy and numeracy levels using state of the art I.C.T equipment and the inspirational and busy surroundings of a sporting venue. We use the medium of sport and football in particular to help tackle learning and motivation amongst pupils identified by individual schools. At the Cobblers Study Centre we help to provide a boost to improve the confidence and self esteem of every child that walks through our doors.

The Centre has a suite of rooms that benefit from a wide range of state of art Information and Communication Technology. Work at the Centre is intended to complement school but is distinctive in it’s own right.
